Countdown to ZERO DAY - Clandestine vs Covert operation

I started reading this book just days before the recent attack on the nuclear power plants. It made me feel unreal. But I will document some of the things I find interesting in my short blog notes.

Clandestine Operation

• Focus: Hiding the existence of the operation.
• Goal: Ensure that no one is aware of the operation.
• Example: Installing surveillance equipment in an enemy building without anyone knowing it was ever done.

Covert Operation

• Focus: Hiding the sponsor or identity behind the operation.
• Goal: People might notice the operation happened, but not who did it.
• Example: Supporting a rebel group in another country without revealing your country’s involvement.

Storytelling Emotional Beats

• "Haha!" – Humor or relief.​
  A moment that makes the audience laugh or releases tension through irony or absurdity.
• "Aha!" – Insight or revelation.​
  A discovery or realization that changes the character’s or audience’s understanding.
• "Oh no!" – Disaster or dread.​
  A turning point when something goes terribly wrong—stakes rise, and tension spikes.
• "Wow!" – Awe or wonder.​
  A moment of beauty, spectacle, or profound emotion that leaves the audience amazed.
• "Yes!" – Victory or resolution.​
  A triumphant moment when the character succeeds, love is realized, or justice is served.​​
